Microsoft Office Groove 2007 Fundamentals, Deployment, and Administration

Course 50010 : 3 days; Instructor-Led

Elements of this syllabus are subject to change.

This three-day instructor-led course provides students with the knowledge and skills to install, configure, and administer Microsoft Office Groove 20007. Students will become familiar with Groove 2007 Relay Server, Management Server, and Data Bridge Server, and will learn to create and configure templates and to configure Active Directory integration.

Audience

This course is intended for IT pros.

At Course Completion

After completing this course, students will be able to:

Install and configure Microsoft Office Groove 2007.

Install and configure the Groove 2007 Relay Server.

Install and configure the Groove 2007 Management Server.

Install and configure the Groove 2007 Date Bridge Server.

Create and configure a template in Groove Server 2007.

Configure Active Directory integration within Groove Server 2007.

Prerequisites

Before attending this course, students must have:

Familiarity with Groove 2007 Client

Familiarity with Microsoft Office SharePoint 2007

Module 1: Installing and Configuring the Microsoft Office Groove 2007 Client (for Enterprise Customers)

This module explains how to work as a team dynamically and effectively inside a collaborative workspace by using the Groove 2007 Client.

Learn how to bring data from SharePoint into the workspace.

Add out-of-the-box tools to the workspace.

Customize tools by using the Groove Forms Designer.

Module 2: Installing and Configuring the Microsoft Office Groove 2007 Relay Server

This module explains how to conduct a fresh installation of the Microsoft Groove relay server; how to generate the relay server keys in the Groove relay server; how to generate the SOAP identity keys; how to customize the Relay Server Quota and Tuning Settings; and how to back up key files, configure startup and recovery settings, and start the relay server.

This module explains how to conduct a fresh installation of the Groove Management Server; how to set up a Web site to require authentication to access it; how to add, edit, remove, and enable role-based access control for Groove Management Server administrators; how to create a domain; and how to connect a Management Server with Groove Relay Servers.
