Upgrading to Microsoft SQL Server 2005

Course 7031: Five days; Instructor-led

Elements of this syllabus are subject to change.

The purpose of this non-MOC 5-day instructor-led course is to teach database professionals working in enterprise environments how to upgrade to SQL Server 2005. Please note that because this is not official Microsoft Courseware, the following course outline follows the powerpoint slide decks only and will not follow the traditional format.

Audience

This non-MOC course is intended for experienced database professionals who will be responsible for upgrading to SQL Server 2005. The target students for this non-MOC course already have an understanding of how to use the SQL Server 2000 and SQL Server 2005 and understand the new features and capabilities of SQL Server 2005.

Prerequisites

Before attending this non-MOC course, students must:
Have thorough experience with SQL Server 2000
Have experience with SQL Server 2005 and a comprehensive understanding of all the new features and technologies
The relational engine
Storage engine
Integration Services
Analysis Services
Reporting Services
Be familiar with SQL Server 2005 features, tools, and technologies.
