Microsoft Axapta Installation and Configuration I
Course 8332: Two days; Instructor-led

Introduction
This two day course introduces the student to the basic 2-tier installation of Microsoft Business Solutions(Axapta( 3.0 including its general architecture, hardware and software requirements, the step-by-step 2-tier installation, database installation, and components.

Audience
This course is intended for System Administrations and other technical support responsible for the planning and installation and configuration of Microsoft Axapta 3.0. This audience typically includes technical consultants working with Microsoft Axapta to develop customizations and modifications to meet clients' needs. Additionally, consultants who are responsible for training or supporting the customer benefit from this course.

At Course Completion
After completing this course, students should be able to:

plan and prepare their installation

• Plan and prepare their installation

• Install Microsoft SQL Server™ 2000 and its service pack

• Install Microsoft Analysis Server and its service packs

• Install and configure Microsoft Axapta for a 2-tier environment

• Understand the Microsoft Axapta database architecture, including Application Object Tree, and documentation components.

Prerequisites
Before attending this course, students must have:

• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Windows® 2000, Windows 2003, or Windows XP.

• Successful completion of Microsoft Certification Exams 70-215 and 70-216 or 70-290 and 70-291 would be ideal.

• High technical proficiency with SQL Server 2000.

• Knowledge of X++ programming is an advantage when talking about tuning of Axapta systems.
