Microsoft Great Plains Human Resources
Course 8382: Three days; Instructor-led

Introduction
This course provides a view of the extensive functionality that is available with the Human Resources application. The class focuses on the setup of Human Resources, including entering employees and related records into the application. It also discusses the process of benefit enrollment for employees.

The class also covers the Attendance and Applicant features that are available to you when you purchase Human Resources. This class is for customers that have chosen to use the Human Resources product without the Payroll module.

At Course Completion
After completing this course, students should be able to:

• Effectively use the Human Resources setup windows to customize the application to your organization's needs

• Complete the global setup windows

• Complete the organization setup windows

• Set up benefits in Human Resources

• Enter employee records

• Create employee related records

• Track employee related items such as employee skills, property, discipline etc.

Prerequisites
Before attending this course, it is recommended that students have:

• Some working knowledge of Microsoft Great Plains

• Some basic understanding of Human Resources law and regulations

Microsoft Certified Professional Exams
No Microsoft Certified Professional exams are associated with this course currently.

Course Materials
The student kit includes a comprehensive workbook including exercises and a case study that should be used to reinforce learning. Other supplementary learning materials that can be used in this class are also included.

Chapter 1: Introduction

The purpose of this chapter is to give students a general overview of the features and benefits of using the Human Resources module. Information on how the Human Resources module integrates with other modules in Microsoft Great Plains is also discussed.
