Introduction
This one day course is designed for students who are responsible
for the installation and configuration of Microsoft® Business Solutions–Navision®
Commerce Gateway. This course describes the installation and upgrade processes,
including the installation of Microsoft Navision Database Server, Microsoft
Navision Commerce Gateway Request Server, Microsoft Navision Application
Server, and the Microsoft Navision Commerce Gateway Broker Monitor. In
addition, this course covers security and application setup, setting up
Microsoft Navision Commerce Gateway in Microsoft Navision and Microsoft
BizTalk Explorer, and tips and tricks for installing Microsoft Navision
Commerce Gateway. The final portion of the course covers Codeunit and
XMLport flow and modifications.
Audience
This course is intended for developers who will be installing,
configuring, using, or administrating Microsoft Navision Commerce Gateway.
Additionally, individuals responsible for training or supporting Microsoft
Navision Commerce Gateway benefit from the course.

5: Programming Content
In this chapter
you perform Codeunit and XMLport modifications. The chapter begins by
providing an overview of some basic Microsoft Navision Development Terminology,
and discusses a codeunit and XMLport flow. You create a new field and
add this new field to various tables, forms, codeunits, and XMLports,
then test that this new field is transferring properly between documents.
Additionally, you will learn to configure the BizTalk Server settings
( Schemas, Assemblies and Orchestrations ( and, finally, you will learn
how to configure Microsoft Navision Commerce Gateway to send data to the
BizTalk Server.
