Chapter
1: Introduction to Production
The first
chapter is intended to be an overview and introduces some of the basic
production concepts used in Microsoft Dynamics AX. Bill of Materials,
Work Centers, Routes, and Production Orders are defined along with an
overview of their use in the Microsoft Dynamics AX Production Series.
Lessons
• Understand
the overall interconnectivity of the Production module with other modules
in Microsoft Dynamics AX.
• Describe
the main building blocks of the Production module.
• Gain
an overview of the Production life cycle together with the changes in
status to the production order as it passes through this cycle.
