Course Outline
Chapter 1: Introduction to Warehouse Management

This first chapter provides students with a better understanding of the general functions and need for a software package to assist companies in tracking of items in warehousing – not only the basic tracking, but also the integration to other modules within Microsoft Dynamics AX. Students will be told the key benefits of the Microsoft Dynamics AX Warehouse Management system, as well as the functionality required for warehouse management and the structure and integration of Microsoft Dynamics AX Warehouse Management with other modules within Microsoft Dynamics AX. Also the importance of maintaining sound records of the items leaving and entering a warehouse is discussed.

Chapter 3: Setting up Warehouse Management

In this chapter, the setup process of Microsoft Dynamics AX Warehouse Management is presented. This lesson attempts to follow the setup flow. However, it is impossible to avoid some jumping back and forth between forms because the forms are interconnected and interrelated. All steps of the basic setup are covered in detailed description. Set up of inventory dimensions and inventory model groups, set up store areas and zones, and set up of inventory aisles and locations will all be discussed.

The process for item receipt is discussed and explained, as well as quarantine orders.
