Outline This first chapter provides students with a better understanding of the general functions and need for a software package to assist companies in tracking of items in warehousing – not only the basic tracking, but also the integration to other modules within Microsoft Dynamics AX. Students will be told the key benefits of the Microsoft Dynamics AX Warehouse Management system, as well as the functionality required for warehouse management and the structure and integration of Microsoft Dynamics AX Warehouse Management with other modules within Microsoft Dynamics AX. Also the importance of maintaining sound records of the items leaving and entering a warehouse is discussed. Lessons • Overview By the end of this chapter, students should be able to: • Explain

All steps of the basic setup are covered in detailed description.
